A free parking lot is available just north of CannaJoyMN on Chicago Ave S. There is also free street parking available on side streets. Some have 2 hour time limits while street parking has no restrictions. The area is also accessible by bike and by Minneapolis Metro Transit routes that run along the D-Line. We welcome bikers to bring your bike inside while making a purchase.

You must be 21 or older to purchase cannabis at any licensed dispensary in Minnesota. A valid, government-issued photo ID is required at the door for entry, no exceptions. Accepted IDs include a driver’s license, state ID, U.S. passport, or military ID.

Yes. Minnesota law requires all licensed dispensaries to carry products tested by an accredited third-party lab. Every product on our shelves has a certificate of analysis (COA) confirming potency and confirming it’s free of pesticides, heavy metals, and contaminants. 

For first-time buyers, we typically recommend starting with a low-THC flower, a 5mg edible, a low-dose beverage, or a 1:1 THC/CBD product. The golden rule is start low and go slow. We carry a variety of cannabis and low-dose products that have mixed cannabinoids.

t depends on how you consume it.

• Inhaled (flower or vape): Effects typically begin within 1–10 minutes, peak around 30 minutes and last 2–4 hours.

• Ingested (edibles or drinks): Effects can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to begin, peak at 3–4 hours and last 6–12 hours.

Start low, go slow — especially with edibles. Begin with a low dose (under 2.5–5mg THC) and wait at least 45 minutes to 2 hours before consuming more. With flower or vape, start with one puff of a lower-potency product and give it 15–30 minutes before assessing. Timing and absorption vary from person to person.

Minnesota adults 21 and older can legally possess up to 2 ounces (56 grams) of cannabis flower in public and up to 2 pounds at home. For concentrates, the limit is 8 grams in public. Edibles are measured by THC content — up to 800mg in public. Home possession limits are higher; refer to the MN Office of Cannabis Management for full details. Minnesotans may also have 4 cannabis plants in a vegetative state and 4 in a flower state, totalling 8 cannabis plants. 

You can consume cannabis on private property with the property owner’s permission. Consumption in public spaces, including parks, sidewalks, vehicles, and any space where cigarette smoking is prohibited, is not legal. Landlords and employers may have their own separate rules about use on their property.
